So I've taken to having the cameras auto-reboot daily and having the NVR auto-reboot weekly and we'll see how that works.Ĥ) As of the correct mobile app (at least for Android) for this device is called "SoCatch." I first tried the "Microseven" and "M7NVR" apps but they did not deliver the feed. I rebooted the device and it came back up fine. It doesn't always resolve by restarting the browser I'm using to watch the live previews either.ģ) For what appears to be no reason, one afternoon I came home from a job and the storage status message was "NEED TO FORMAT HARD DISK" (where it should be "XXX GB used / ZZZ GB total"). The previews for main and sub streams go white. It is working *imperfectly* with two Dahua IP cameras I have on my front yard. And I have to connect over http rather than https *however* I would imagine I can enable https like with most of these boxes.Ģ) It is working *its version of perfectly* with an LTS IP camera I have in my back yard. That means, no Chrome, no FireFox, no Safari, you get my drift. So, you have to install their browser extension, and to my knowledge you have to use iexplore.exe with the extension. It is pretty easy to deploy once you learn how to use the UI (the UI is a custom-like hybrid of what you'd see on a branded DVR and an NVR on-screen interface, but it's delivered using Internet Explorer - yes, I said that right, Internet Explorer specifically due to add-ons you will need to install to interact with all the features). Each comment will have the pro and its relative con.ġ) The Microseven guys have done a great job simplifying use. I figured that would give me a chance to trial it against the pro brands I already use (HiKvision, Dahua, LTS) and the DIY brands (Lorex / Amcrest / you name it). I am a surveillance architect and installer who decided to deploy this to my home after a prospective client chose to go another way.
